Do you remember The Phantom? It was a comic strip in the Sunday World, way back in the Seventies and Eighties.

While ostensibly a superhero, the Phantom seemed to spend a lot of time hanging around dinner parties, discussing the intrigues of the day and having secret liasons with young girls.

He dressed in a purple body suit with striped underwear, and although he had a utility belt, he never actually displayed any superpowers or gadgetry, instead using his financial acumen and savoir-faire to defeat his enemies.
